6. RPPI Videos

From this page, you can access and play RPPI videos for left eye and right eye.

How To Do RPPI with your mobile phone

  • Each video is usually less than 30 seconds long

  • RPPI videos are more than 90% black, so there is minimal exposure to the phone's light in order to emit codes into your retina

  • Do RPPI twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, or whenever convenient

1. Set Phone Screen to 50% Brightness

Set your mobile phone's screen to 50% or half level of brightness. Check that the screen display isn't on a timer, or it may dim or turn off while doing RPPI.

Eyewear
2. Remove Eyeglasses

Remove your eyeglasses if you are wearing them.

3. Select Video Corresponding to Today's Day of the Week

Press Play icon to open the video.

4. Use Full Screen Viewing Mode

Select the button at the bottom right corner of the video to enlarge it to fill the whole screen.

5. Full Screen Mode

6. Hold Phone in Left Hand and Bring Close to Face 

Hold the phone in your left hand and bring it as close as possible to your face.  The centre of the screen should be directly in front of your left eye.

7. Cover Right Eye with Right Hand

You can gently cover your right eye with your right hand so it can be more at ease.

8. Focus on Centre of Target 

While the video is playing, keep your left eye focused on the center of the target, or the intersecting point of the “plus” sign. It may appear blurry, because it’s so close to your eye, and this is okay.

9. Use Same Video to do RPPI on Right Eye

Do RPPI on your right eye. Hold your phone with your right hand, press play to begin the right eye video, press the full screen button, cover your left eye with your left hand, bring the phone as close as possible to your face, and focus your right eye on the centre of the grey “plus" sign until the video ends.

10. Tips

If you accidentally stop the video or get interrupted before it’s finished, restart that video from the beginning.

​We recommend doing RPPI once or twice a day.
